Chitwan Wildlife Tour

Program Itinerary:

Day 01. Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport where our representative will meet you and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drinks and refresh in the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02. Kathmandu City Sightseeing Tour
Breakfast in the morning. Then after visit the major sightseeing highlights of Kathmandu Valley reflecting culture & tradition, historical importance, art & architectures. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03. Kathmandu - Chitwan
After breakfast, we will precede our journey to Chitwan National Park by roadways through driving along with the edge of the fast flowing Trishuli River. This river is to be home to such species as the beautiful White-capped Water Redstart, Plumbeous Water Redstart, Brown Dipper and Little Forktail. Finally we check in to Resort in Chitwan and have lunch. Then continue our package program with village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where we will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the local inhabitants. In the evening, slide show presentation for brief introduction about Chitwan National Park. Overnight at Resort.

Day 04. Full Day Exploration in Chitwan National Park
Early morning wake up and take the breakfast. Then we head for Canoe ride along the Rapti River followed by Jungle / nature walk and back to the Hotel. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and seeing the two rare species of crocodiles: the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. We will explore the forest and rivers in search of different species of birds like Blue-bearded and Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, Dollarbird, White-rumped Shama, Golden-fronted Leafbird, Crested Tree-Swift, Small Minivet, Red-winged Crested Cuckoos etc. If we are lucky enough we may able to track down an Asian Paradise Flycatcher or an Indian or Hooded Pitta.
Lunch in the Resort and rest for a while. Continue our program with exploring the surrounding riverine forest and grassland on Elephant back safari. The most productive and enjoyable way to search for the more elusive mammal species – the four different kinds deer, rhinoceros, wild bore, monkey, bird life, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (if lucky).
In the evening, we will be entertained with Tharu Cultural Dance Show and dinner in the resort. Overnight at Resort.

Day 05. Jeep drive in Chitwan National Park
We will finish up the breakfast and be ready to visit Government Elephant Breeding Centre and on the way back we will enjoy the Elephant Bathing as well.
Lunch in the Resort.
In the afternoon we will have Jeep drive in the Jungle in order to explore national park further to see more wildlife and birds which we may have miss during the tour on foot & elephant back. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 06. Departure
An early morning walk along the Rapti River is a must to view many of the 450 species of exotic birds including Giant Hornbill, Lesser Florican and Paradise Flycatcher. Back to the resort and have breakfast. Then after departure from resort to Kathmandu or onward destination.
